Low Country Charm Meets Coastal Elegance in Soft Blue and White Hues.
This backyard wedding was the dreamiest mix of Low Country charm and Coastal elegance—right in the bride’s own backyard! (I know, goals right?) The setting was already special, but we took it to the next level with a soft, breezy palette of white, blue, and green that felt like a love letter to the South.
We played with a gorgeous lineup of flowers: hydrangeas doing what hydrangeas do best (being full and fluffy), calla lilies, peonies, agrostemma, ranunculus, delphinium, tulips, and trailing Spanish moss adding just the right touch of Southern whimsy.
One of my absolute favorite details? The bridesmaids carried monobloom bouquets—each one featuring just a single flower variety. I love this trend so much. It’s modern, chic, and lets each bloom have its moment to shine. Sometimes simple is everything.
One of my favorite ways to repurpose flowers, so the ceremony blooms don’t just get left behind—is to use them as perimeter decor throughout the reception space. For this wedding, we moved the scalloped wicker urns from the ceremony (total showstoppers, by the way) and placed them on the bars for the reception. It created such a fun, unexpected statement and tied everything together beautifully.
The reception was originally planned for outdoors, but let me tell you—it turned out to be a crispy hot June day in the South. So, the dinner setup got moved inside the house (thank goodness for air conditioning, right?). I’m pretty sure every guest was silently cheering as they stepped into that cool space.
Inside, we went with two different tablescape vibes. One design featured earthy compote arrangements with a textural, organic, whimsical feel—full of movement and dimension. The second design was all about smart repurposing: we reused the bridesmaids’ monobloom bouquets (yes, those chic little beauties!) and added bud vases and rattan candle holders for a laid-back yet polished look.
And I cannot forget the blue ginger jar bud vases. We used them on the cocktail tables, and they added the perfect pop of pattern and coastal charm—just the right amount of personality to make those little moments feel extra special.
